In an overwhelming world full of exciting sights, sounds, and sensations, how can science centres become oases for those with sensory sensitivities? Learn about the failures and successes of developing sensory-friendly programming, as we build partnerships with local communities and experts, design innovative and accessible experiences, and become advocates for neuro-diversity. Representatives from the Ontario Science Centre, Science World British Columbia, and the Geneva Centre for Autism will share about their experiences developing inclusive programs and environments to meet the varied needs of their audiences. Following this, participants will discuss in small groups ways to engage and include people of all ages and abilities in exhibits and activities.
